Severe weather this week!. It's been extremely humid (the term WILL has been using is "juicy") and stormy this week, with severe weather and tornado warnings and the whole bit, including street flooding. My sump pump has been working overtime but no flooding in my basement so far! Finally today it's cooled off and gotten sunny, almost like that first taste of fall day...

I realized just today how many nuclear testing videos I've seen lately. Last night I had a weird dream where there was some horrible weather off in the distance, coming closer. I occasionally have scary dreams about tornadoes, often multiple ones hanging out on the horizon, approaching, and looking very much the usual cartoon dark comma cloud (or like those bad word dark clouds in Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle, come to think of it!), but this time it was different - off in the distance some storm came up, clearly some sort of poisonous thing, and it was very like a mushroom cloud. The cloud just got bigger and bigger, boiling/growing upwards before my eyes. The top part was turning into cloud right there, sort of like that one cloud I saw before a thunderstorm over me back before the 4th of July, but much, much more ominous. Part of the feel was from the poisonous cloud blooms in "Timescape" too, I think. Whatever it was I was looking at it through a small window in the upstairs of my house, felt like the little window in the place in Hayama that we could see Mt. Fuji on a clear day, but the ground outside was a desert, all packed flat clay and nothing much until the horizon where the poison weather was coming.
