Previous Mutterings: Bits of January, 2002

01/22/2002:

Is it lame? You betcha. Is it hella under construction? Heck yeah. Thing is, though, it's UP - well, the test skeleton is, anyways. Actual content should follow soon, as it's mainly a matter of inserting content from the original Mink's Lame Home Page into the various parts of this page.

01/28/2002:

Whew! Finally, the various scripts for updating this page are done (for the time being). Yep - scripts. Why scripts? Because this page now runs on the power of XML (well, a sort of XML-HTML marriage that allows default regular ol' HTML to pass through unchanged). What does that mean for you, the reader? It means you should see more content, updated more frequently, now that adding stuff and moving stuff around is not such a pain in the Ayn.

Non-muttering-type content should be appearing in the next few days, as I pass it through a sieve and import it into this site, but as of today I'm willing to declare this page up.

In the meantime... today is supposedly the last day of freakishly warm weather for a while. Today it got up to 65F!! This weekend was really warm too, and generally we've not seen snow this year - there was a bit of really wet snow back on December 14 which managed to melt off by the time I made it into work (though I did get what there is of this year's snow pics that morning) and then a trace amount over X'mas, the quite cold kind, that blows around the street like sand for days. But nothing to shovel yet. While I sorta like the warm weather, I don't want it to get too warm too soon, because it reminds me that I'm not really ready to deal with the yard just yet (other than having dead possum #2 removed). Supposedly it might snow Wednesday. We'll see.
