Posting an announcement is straightforward. You will probably want your announcement to have a title. You may use standard html tags within the title if you wish - such as printing in red or bold. The text of your announcement can be as long or as short as you wish and may also contain any standard html tags. When you are satisfied with the announcement, you click on "Add Announcement" to post it to students. If you would like to see how it looks prior to posting to students, click on "Preview Announcement". When you preview an announcement you will see how it looks and have the opportunity to make more changes.
When an announcement is posted, it automatically prints the login of the person who made the posting and also the date and time.
Staff members can remove a posted message by clicking on "Delete this announcement". Deletion of the message removes it from the announcement files - and it will no longer be available for anyone else to read either.
In an effort to minimize the size of the announcements page, old announcements are not displayed unless the user specifically requests to see them.
